Basic Care of Rabbits | Tooth-Nail and FeedingRabbit Tooth and Nail

As rabbits are rodents, their teeth and nails grow much. You have to cut your nails regularly with a special nail clippers for pets, like cats used. But be careful because we can hurt. The nails have a very sensitive little vein, the first few times it should be done with assistance from the vet and it is he who correctly tell us how.

To help you spend your teeth, it is suggested to give a weekly one bread to chew on, and so spend their teeth. Note: you can hurt a lot of bread. If we see them continue to grow teeth, or are not very firm, a visit to the vet to confirm whether he is right or not, since an excessive growth can do harm and even cause death.

Feeding

Depending on the breed (there are 45 different races) and size vary feeding recommendations. But it is important to know that overeating is bad: a rabbit obese is as bad as a weak and poorly fed rabbit.

Hay is very important for your digestive system so it is recommended to provide significant amounts of hay.

Never give candy to the rabbits.

As always, we remind you that these are general basic tips, a guide. But always consult your veterinarian friend.
